Reading taken from James 1:1-27 (Have it read to you)
Our current series is called REPURPOSE – the idea came from a word taken from our previous #GO! series (listen here) and that week was also entitled #GO!: REPURPOSE
The message had such a powerful impact that it really demanded more than one week – This week our Pastor Darren Bovis-Coulter picks up the topic called ‘Guardrails’ that was introduced last week. The guardrails messages over the next few weeks are inspired by Andy Stanley, a preacher from North Point church in America and series they have delivered a few times called guardrails. Their messages are available on youtube, and Darren introduces a number of their examples in our series.
This week we are looking at the guardrails needed with relationships – by way of an intro: Consider you greatest regret? You were probably not on your own. You were probably with someone, and more than likely this was someone you knew well. Our greatest regrets are not normally with people we don’t know but people close to us.
This message also looks at the difference between being judgemental and having good judgement – as Christians we can be accused of being judgemental, how do we lovingly tackle this issue.
If you have any questions from the message today, or would like prayer as a result of things you hear, please contact us, we would love to pray for you.
