Life Groups

What are LifeGroups?

At Limbrick Wood Baptist Church our LifeGroups are a group of friends (new and existing) who consistently meet up together with a purpose and are intentional about having spiritual conversations and growing in Christ.

If this seems like an ‘open-ended’ definition, it is!

We believe that real community doesn’t always fit inside one set box. That’s why we’ve gone with a flexible approach. Whatever a LifeGroup looks like, as long as we’re pursuing and living out our four values in one way or another, then it’s great! Our four values make sure we are living ‘WELL’ as a healthy group; beyond that, groups are welcome to get creative, seek God, and learn together.

This means that as long as we’re being real with each other and living out Jesus’ teaching together, each group will look a little different, and that’s great… so why not join one if you haven’t already??

See other tabs for current groups, and other pages on this website for current courses, and up-coming access to teaching and training.

LWBC Values Intro

As a growing church we want everyone to feel welcome. We recognise the we are all special and unique individuals with gifts that God has given specifically to us, so that the whole body of Christ here in Tile Hill may be built up.

With so much diversity we totally recognise that this can mean our focus, our actions or our personal hot-potatoes will be different too. This is to be celebrated and fanned into flame, but there are some core values which we believe are non-negotiable, and as the world seems to be moving further away from God and and rejection of Christianity, we have written a short 4 week introduction to LWBC covering: “What is Church, Foundational Basics, Living the Christian Life and Instructions & Questions.”

We also have some core values to make sure everything we do at LWBC is done W.E.L.L., see the image on the left what these mean in more detail.

This short course is open to everyone and is run regularly or as needed.

LifeGroup: Galatians

We have a number of different groups that meet up around specific topics, or books of the bible.

This group is specifically going through Galatians systematically having recently completed Ephesians.

If you would like to know more or find out if there are any more spaces in this group please get in touch via our contact form.

LifeGroup: Jesus – Hebrew Language

This Bible Study Group is looking at the Bible (both Old Testament and New Testament) from a Hebraic perspective in the light of their Jewish context. Along the way we will learn some Hebrew words, phrases and names (but don’t worry there isn’t a test it will be a lot of fun and enlightening!).

We will be looking specifically at the life, events, teaching and the words of Jesus, the Apostles in the New Testament, and also at the prophets in the the Old Testament.

With these thoughts in mind, the outcomes of this Bible Study is to help us to see Jesus with greater clarity by putting Him back into an original language, culture and religious environment.

The goal in mind is not just to gain greater factual knowledge, but to develop a richer, deeper relationship with Jesus, and a commitment to becoming better disciples of Him.

LifeGroup: Jesus’ Parables

This is one of our current daytime LifeGroups looking at the life, works and teaching of Jesus through the stories, or parables that Jesus taught and how can we apply it effectively in the way we lead our lives.

It has recently been established, so if you would like to know more or join the next course please get in touch via our contact form.

LifeGroup: Unfulfilled Prophesy

This LifeGroup is going to be looking in to the topic of Unfulfilled Prophecy.

We will be exploring the books of Daniel and Revelation. Unfulfilled prophecies are not prophecies that have failed, but prophecies that are YET to be fulfilled…

How exciting is that? It demonstrates that the work is not yet completed, that the bible is as current today as it was thousands of years ago. And it applies to each and every one of us. The prophecies will be fulfilled whether we know about them or not, whether we believe in them or not. It is just a matter of when, and that is why it is important to know what they are and how we will be affected by them.
