This week Darren preaches from Exodus 3 -5
Darren Bovis-Coulter is the Pastor at LWBC
We are continuing our 13 week series in Hebrews. Darren shares God’s word from Hebrews Chapter 10
This Sunday will be the start of 13 weeks in Hebrews. Darren will open and close this series, and 7 others will be taking it in turns to lead us through a chapter each week. Do please pray for all those that are seeking God for the message He has for us.
There is a theme in Hebrews which is obvious, but as Darren has challenged us in the past, there also needs to be a call to action, so please write this statement on your mind as we gather together around the word each week:
The absolute supremacy of Jesus Christ should motivate us
to enduring faith in the face of trials.
Darren also encourages us to read the bible for ourselves. Hebrews takes about 45 minutes to read, so have a read through a couple of times to get an overview before we dig into the details each week.
This Sunday we will be welcoming in a New Year and also New Members! We will also be Breaking Bread this weekend too as we postponed it last weekend due to current Covid situations.
The motto verse will be sign-written on the wall at the front of church, and we pray that God will speak continually through this verse to us throughout the year – that is quite a big ask of one verse, but as we are reminded in Joshua and the Psalms, we should meditate on the word day and night, and Isaiah reminds us that God’s word does not return to Him empty, so let us rejoice in all that God says to us through this year.

This Sunday we conclude our series in Chapter 13 of Nehemiah.
The strapline Responsibility, Restoration, Vision and Value are four lenses to help us focus on what God wants to say to us as a church and also as individuals. Over the summer Darren has encouraged us to have a read through this inspiring book a few times – it takes about an hour to read with an average reading speed… or grab an online version and have a listen (even in double speed for a 30 minutes whizz through!) – http://lwbc.org.uk/ReadNehemiah
